Head Lice in a child w/ADHD?

My daughter is 5 and shae has gotten head lice. She has ADHD so it is nearly impossible for her to sit still long enough so I can pick her head. I was just wondering if anyone out there had any ideas. I wonder if anyone has any quick and easy ideas of getting rid of lice and preventing it. Her lice is very close to the scalp so fortunately I caught it at a good time. My daughter is a big fan of dress-up but those went in the garabage the second I found out she had lice. She will not be allowed to play dress-up at other peoples homes. And I am unsure whether or not I will let friends spend the night from now on. I am definately ready to invest in a supply of shower caps!
